What we are beginning to see a lot of with students having access to the internet, cell phones, etc. is that these new forms of technology have provided new ways for students to be bullied and harassed .  Within these avenues, students oftentimes also leave themselves open to online predators.  It is vital that you know what your student is viewing and doing on the internet to protect them from strangers online as well as bullying from those they know.

Cyber bullying often falls outside the realm of what the school can do yet it has effects that follow students at school.  Cyber bullying includes text messages, instant messages, blog comments, MySpace postings, emails, etc.
