About Me |
|
Hi my name is Nan Calvo, and art is my passion! I have been teaching middle school art since 1978. My undergraduate degree is from the University of Washington, and I have a masters degree from Lesley University, Boston Mass. I am a active artist in the community and you can view my work at Up Front on Front Street in Issaquah. I love to paint and fuse glass. I have two grown children that attended Issaquah Schools. My son Justin and daughter Dionna. Both my children are very artistic and musical. You may run into Dionna if you go to Flying Pie Pizza. She would be the one that has an attitude with a bite. I live on Lake Sawyer and with my husband Joel who I call Sugar Bear, and my two dogs Bunny and Woofie. They are both adorable. My hobbies include painting, ceramics, glass and any creative activity, dancing, skiing, swimming and boating. I taught ski lessons for 20 years and I raced for 10 years. I love teaching art and kids. Everyday when I drive to work I feel blessed to get the opportunity to teach my favorite subject and passion art. My hope is that I will be an inspiration to your child's creativity, and that your child will love creating as much as I do. |
